EvenSteven ("we", "our", or "the app") is a household management app for couples. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your profile picture URL from Google.

Household data: Information you provide about your household, including household name, and currency preference.

App usage data: Chore logs (what was completed and when), expense records (amounts, descriptions, and who paid), settlement records, weekly check-in responses, and notification preferences. This data is created by you within the app.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's features: tracking chores, splitting expenses, and showing your household's fairness dashboard. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

Supabase: We use Supabase to store your data and handle authentication. Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database secured with row-level security policies, ensuring you can only access data belonging to your household.

Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled through Google's OAuth service. We receive only your email, name, and profile picture URL.

5. Notifications

The app schedules local notifications on your device (e.g., weekly check-in reminders). These are processed entirely on your device and no notification data is sent to external servers.

6. Data Sharing

Your household data (chores, expenses, check-ins) is shared only with your household partner within the app. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
